Academics

At Columbus Catholic Schools we are proud to maintain a tradition of academic excellence.

Our young students at St. John the Baptist Primary (Pre-K-Grade 2) receive an outstanding educational foundation, with an emphasis in reading and math. At Our Lady of Peace Intermediate (Grades 3-5) their talents are nurtured further as they transition from emerging learners to middle school students. Our primary and intermediate students score among the highest in the country on the nationally-administered Iowa Test of Basic Skills. Additionally, the Columbus system is the only school system in the area that has a grade 1-12 Spanish program.
