At Columbus Catholic Schools we offer several different ways to give!  WE BELIEVE that everyone can help Columbus Catholic Schools.  Through our prayers, volunteerism, donations, and words of support for our Catholic schools - each of us has the ability to shape the future of Columbus Catholic Schools.  Contact us at or call the Development Office at 715-387-2444.

The Columbus Education Foundation, in partnership with Columbus High School, helps donors create named scholarships for students to attend Columbus. These funds can be restricted and the donor can establish the criteria for the scholarship. To establish a $500 annual scholarship through CEF, a minimum amount of $10,000 is needed. This gift will ensure that the scholarship will continue in perpetuity. A $20,000 donation would award a $1,000 scholarship each year. Donors may give to an existing scholarship or contact the Development Office to establish a new one.

CEF was established in 1976 in support of Columbus High School. Almost 40 years later, over 5.1 million dollars has been distributed from the CEF General Fund to Columbus High School. The fund is currently valued at 3.5 million dollars. CEF has been the recipient of wills, bequests, life Insurance, and retirement assets as well as gifts of cash. Planned giving to our Catholic schools creates a legacy that will benefit generations of students and help ensure that the educational and spiritual objectives of Columbus Catholic Schools will continue into the future.

This fund was established in 2008 for the benefit of Columbus Catholic Schools. Interest earned on this fund is used for operating expenses of the entire Columbus Catholic Schools system. Funds are used to enhance the educational opportunities of our students.

The Columbus Catholic Schools Annual Appeal is the best and most immediate way to ensure the future health and vitality of our schools.  Our school system's financial health and stability depends on the Annual Appeal which seeks contributions to financially support our schools on an annual basis. Gifts made to the Columbus Catholic Schools are used to help maintain the demands of the annual budget and enhance curriculum, materials, and programs for our students.

Gifts to Columbus Catholic Schools may be designated to any of the following areas: greatest need; academics & faith formation; athletics; facilities & maintenance; fine arts; technology; and tuition assistance.

We were recently able to meet our goal $249,700 to pay for Phase 1 of the Windows Project.  Later this year, as we replace all doors inside the building, we will also be ordering Room Identification Signs with the names of our donors!  This also means we can now move on to Phase 2 with a goal of $250,000.  When this goal is reached we can complete the windows project and reap the benefits of efficient lighting for years to come.  The cost to install windows in each classroom is approximately $15,000.  There are many ways to help out.  You can sponsor a classroom for $15,000 and get your name displayed on a Room Sign.  You can even select the classroom you’d like to sponsor if it's available!  We’ve received donations from individuals, families and businesses.  We even had alumni raising money to sponsor a classroom in honor of their entire graduating class!  However, ANY donation amount is welcome and much appreciated.  For more information, contact the Development Office at 715-387-2444.

Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms are dated, with most of our equipment originating from the 1960s!  A number of advancements have taken place since then, varying from functionality, safety, and programming.  Of these, safety is paramount.  A large amount of equipment we own, we cannot permit students to use because of safety concerns and liability.

Some examples of equipment we are looking to purchase include:  construction tools, welders, a CNC plasma cutter, industry-grade automotive equipment and a 3-D printer.  With these additions, we’d also like to add new classes such as Welding, Construction, Drafting/Design and Manufacturing.  Students will get hands-on experience with tools of the trade; interaction with individuals who work in the field; and the opportunity to apply for dual-credit classes at a local technical college.

Along with new equipment and classes comes the opportunity to expand community partnerships as well!  This includes MACCI (Youth Apprenticeship Program), MSTC (dual-credit classes) and area businesses who are looking to fill high-demand positions (classroom demonstrations and networking).  These changes are important because there is a large deficit in terms of technical job opportunities and the number of job applicants to fill them.

Event Sponsorships

Every year we are looking for sponsors for our two fundraising events:  Alpine Holiday and Galleon.  These events are important because they help us to keep tuition as low as possible for our families.  If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or donating a prize, contact us at or call the Development Office at 715-387-2444.

Teacher Wish List

If you'd rather donate items to a teacher's classroom - and give them what they REALLY want for Christmas! - watch for our annual "Teacher Wish List" that comes out during the holidays.  To upgrade their classrooms, teachers look for games, to art supplies, to furniture!  If you'd rather not wait, contact the Development Office, or your favorite teacher, directly.
