The season of Advent is right around the corner, and to celebrate, we have a few activities we would like to share.

Throughout the month of December, students will be participating in a digital reflection and journaling activity to support their faith journey.  They will also be creating Christmas postcards for frontline workers and gathering supplies for the residents of Shirley’s House of Hope.

We need your help with the last project…  If you are able, please consider donating the following items during each of the weeks leading up to Christmas:

Week 1 (November 30 - December 4) - Personal Items

Women who come to the shelter need a NEW bath, washcloth, & hand towel to keep.  They also could use new women’s underwear, socks, pajamas, and deodorant, plus pull ups and size 3 & 4 diapers.

Week 2 (December 7-10) - Cleaning Supplies

Items such as all-purpose cleaners, glass cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher soap, and vinegar are appreciated.

Week 3 (December 14-18) - Paper & Plastic Products

Gallon ziplock, tall kitchen garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper are especially needed right now.

Thank you so much for your generosity.  We are truly blessed to have such a supportive school family and are excited to help some of the people in our community!

Advent Journey

This year our school will be focusing on the journey through Advent. Each week we will study and reflect on the themes of Advent: Kindness, Hope, Peace, Joy, Love. Each grade level will participate in helping create banners on the themes that will be displayed in our entryway.

We also will follow the journey Mary and Joseph took on their way to Bethlehem. Students will have opportunities to read maps and facts about the path the Holy couple traveled. We will reflect on the struggles and hardships, while also rejoicing at their final destination; The birth of Jesus!

Thank you for your help in making this Advent season a positive, prayerful anticipation of Christ’s birth.
