January 25-26 (Weekend Masses) Celebrating In Our Parishes 

  • Our Lady of Peace – 4:00 (Sat.), 8:30 and 10:00 (Sun.)
  • St. John the Baptist – 4:30 (Sat.), 7:00, 9:00, and 11:00 (Sun.)
  • Sacred Heart - 5:00 (Sat.), 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Sun.)
  • Corpus Christi – 10:00 (Sun.)
  • Christ the King – 4:00 (Sat.), 8:00 and 10:00 (Sun.)
  • St. Michael – 5:00 (Sat.)

January 27 (Monday) Celebrating Students

St. John & Our Lady of Peace Schools

  • Attire = pajamas or comfy clothes (must wear regular shoes with pajamas and if a nightgown is worn, appropriate pants or shorts must be worn underneath it), may bring one stuffed animal that will fit in a backpack and a flashlight for “flashlight reading”
  • PJ Games
  • Drawing Activities (SJBP)
  • Writing Activities (OLPI)
  • Flashlight Games

Columbus Middle School

  • P.J. Day - It is Monday and you’re probably not fully awake, so why not come to school in your pajamas!? Have a robe? A favorite pair of school appropriate pajamas? Forget to comb your hair? NO PROBLEM!

Columbus High School

  • What to wear: Pajama Day
  • Fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children (jars in homeroom)
  • “Where’s Ms. Wojcik” hunt

January 28 (Tuesday) Celebrating Our Nation

St. John & Our Lady of Peace Schools

  • Attire = Patriotic (red, white, and blue) or like a state flower, animal, tree, or symbol
  • Patriotic Activities
  • USA Symbols Bingo

Columbus Middle School

  • Tacky Tourist Day - What does your tacky travel attire consist of? Do you wear socks with your sandals? Do you wear plaid shorts with your Hawaiian shirt? I bet you have a gigantic camera you also carry to take pictures while traveling.  Bring it all out for today’s dress up!

Columbus High School

  • What to wear: Jersey Day
  • Fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children (jars in homeroom)
  • “Where’s Ms. Wojcik” hunt
  • Special Activity: Hush Button Day (Girls)

January 29 (Wednesday) Celebrating Our Community

St. John & Our Lady of Peace Schools

  • Attire = Jeans and a Columbus Dons’ shirt 
  • Community Appreciation
  • Spring for Lunch 11:00 to 12:30 
    • 10:40 = Preschool pick up (in classrooms)
    • 10:50-11:00 = Pick up children at SJBP (at PM pick up locations) and OLPI (in back of school in pick-up lane)
    • 11:00-12:30 = Spring for Lunch
    • 12:30 = Drop your children off at the following locations
      • Preschool = at SJBP
      • Grades 4K-2nd = at Rose Bowl Lanes
      • Grades 3rd-5th = Melody Gardens

Columbus Middle School

  • Career Day - Who or what do you want to be when you grow up? A scientist? A doctor? How about a police officer or a car salesperson? Or be a member of our Armed Forces? Play the part now and dress up like you will need to dress in the future!

Columbus High School

  • What to wear: Fictional Character Day
  • Fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children (jars in homeroom)
  • “Where’s Ms. Wojcik” hunt
  • Special activity: Hush Button Day (Boys)

January 30 (Thursday) Celebrating Our Staff and Volunteers

St. John & Our Lady of Peace Schools

  • Attire = Mix n Match, Silly hair or hat, NO HAIR DYE
  • Staff/priest/volunteer appreciation activities

Columbus Middle School

  • Ski Trip to Bruce Mound - Students should wear warm clothes and a Columbus shirt or sweatshirt.  Jeans or sweatpants are allowed. Bring a sack lunch or money for concessions.  Be sure to check the temperature and dress appropriately!!!  See ski trip note for additional information on the trip.

Columbus High School

  • What to wear: Dress Like a Teacher
  • Fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children (jars in homeroom)
  • “Where’s Ms. Wojcik” hunt
  • Special activity: Dress your homeroom teacher From the HS Stu Co: Breakfast items in the lounge for faculty and staff

January 31 (Friday) Celebrating Our Faith

St. John & Our Lady of Peace Schools

  • Attire = “Sunday Best”
  • Buddy reading time 9:15-10:15
  • All CCS Mass with Bishop Callahan at 10:30 at Our Lady of Peace (Grades 4K-12th)

Columbus Middle School

  • Fancy Friday - Put on your best clothes because the Bishop is coming to town! Today is Mass Day and we want to look our best! Girls are strongly encouraged to wear dresses or skirts (knee length) and boys are strongly encouraged to wear their best dress slacks (i.e. no cargo pants if you have the option), best shirt and tie, and dress shoes. Boys, have a sport coat? Wear it and look sharp!

Columbus High School

  • What to wear: Mass dress/bring Columbus tees and jeans to change after Mass
  • “Where’s Ms. Wojcik” hunt
  • Special Schedule:
    • 7:40-9:00 homeroom (work on thank you postcards to donors/homeroom photo)
    • 9:15-10:00 Adopt-a-Grade visits (PreK buddies go to St. John, 4K-2 grade come to high school, OLP buddies go to OLP)
    • 10:00-10:15 homerooms (bathroom breaks)
    • 10:15 head to Mass
    • 10:30-11:45 Mass
    • 11:45-12:45 Homeroom lunch
    • 12:45-2:25 various activity rooms—students will sign up ahead of time
    • 2:25-2:35 pie throwing if enough money raised
    • 2:40-2:45 homeroom for end of day prayer and announcements
