Guests at the event will have the chance to bid high to get their favorite sweet treat! The Dessert Dash has been a huge hit the past few years. Last year we raised over $6,000 on the Dessert Dash alone!

What is Dessert Dash?  During Galleon, each table will have a Dessert Dash bidding sheet.  Each person at the table will bid on what they're willing to contribute for dessert - anywhere from $5.00 and up!  Bidding sheets are turned in and tallied.  Next, each table appoints a "Dessert Dasher" - someone who's quick on their feet.  At the end of dinner, the auctioneer will call off all the bids from highest to lowest in rapid succession while each "Dessert Dasher" leaps into action to grab his/her table's dessert of choice!  The end result is a hilarious display of quick cunning and wit!

If you are looking for a way to support Galleon and our Fund-a-Need… and you enjoy baking… this is right up your alley! 

A few things to note when donating a dessert:

  • Once a dessert is dropped off at Hotel Marshfield it will need to go on the Dessert Dash Table.  We are not allowed to use Hotel Marshfield's refrigerators. Please keep this in mind when signing up. Cheesecakes will need to be dropped off closer to 3:30pm and will need to stay on the Dessert Dash table.
  • Feel free to purchase desserts from a licensed bakery.
  • We cannot guarantee dishes will be returned. Please bring your dessert on a serving tray that you do not want back. 
  • Each dessert needs to feed 8 people. 
  • Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up if you want to showcase your signature dessert at Galleon.
  • All desserts must be dropped off on Friday, April 26th by 3:30pm at Hotel Marshfield.
