Mr. Lambrecht's Updates

March 31, 2021

Prom will be held Saturday, May 1 in the Columbus Catholic Gym from 8-11 pm. Tickets will be for sale Wednesday, April 7 – Friday, April 23. See Ms. Thompson before or after school. You may pay by cash or check made payable to CCS. Guest permission forms are required of anyone not currently a Columbus student. These must be completed and returned to Mr. Lambrecht by Thursday, April 15. Coronation of both the Junior and Senior courts will begin at 9:30 p.m. This is NOT open to the public. Only student guests and families of court members may attend. Masks are required for everyone in attendance

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We will have parent-teacher conferences on April 13th, from 3-6 pm.  There will be a Sign-up Genius sent out to allow parents to sign up for a 10-minute conference with any of their child’s teachers. Parents may choose to attend in person or virtually. If you sign up for a virtual conference, that teacher will send you a link for a Zoom Conference.  Please sign in to the conference at the time you signed up.  You will be placed in the waiting room until the teacher is finished with the previous conference.

State Testing

Wisconsin Students in Grades 6-10 will be participating in the Forward Exam. Our sophomore students will also be taking the ACT Aspire Test. Our 6-10 grade students will be taking the exam on April 8th with the 8th and 10th-grade students finishing up on April 9th.

HERE is a link for the Informational Brochure for Families which gives more information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used.

This assessment measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can. The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations or placement in classes to best support your child(ren).

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Lambrecht at

CCS Parent Association Meeting

No School

There is no school April 1-5 for Easter break.

Senior Retreat

The senior retreat has been rescheduled to Wednesday-Thursday, April 7-8.

Hunter Education Course

A Wisconsin Basic Hunter Education Course will be offered in the Our Lady of Peace Church Wavra Room the week of April 26-30. Advanced registration is requested as class size is limited. Graduation will be held at 10:00 am on May 22nd at Columbia Park.  We will move the event to OLP Church if the weather is poor that day.

Water Bottles

We would like to remind students that the water fountains are turned off and only the water bottle filling stations are available. Please have a water bottle with your name on at school that you may fill at any of the filling stations.

Absence Notification Form

Just a reminder that we now have an online Absence Notification form.  The online form should be used for all absences. This online form replaces the phone call and parent notes for all absences.  You may also indicate whether or not the students will be able to attend virtually for the day.  Future absences should be reported at least one week in advance.  Illnesses should be reported by 7:30 am on the day of the illness.  The link is HERE. We recommend saving this link on your phone.
