7th Annual "Cutting for a Cause" Hair Donation Event
Instead of hosting the event at the school one afternoon, volunteer stylists will offer free appointments for our donors between May 4-May 26. Donors need to complete the permission slip/consent form HERE and return it to Mandy Volkman at Columbus Catholic High School (or email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 23rd to sign up for one of the pre-set appointment times (first to sign up has first pick of appointments).
At this point in time, we have 25 appointments available. If you are a stylist (or know of a stylist) interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Mandy Volkman by Wednesday, April 14.
Interested in Youth Apprenticeship?
Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a highly successful talent acquisition strategy in which employers hire high school juniors or seniors for a one or two-year apprenticeship. During the apprenticeship, the student continues toward high school graduation and takes courses related to the profession as a way of enhancing what is being learned on the job.
There are many career pathways from which to choose. More information can be found HERE. If interested please see Mrs. Hattamer
Prom will be held Saturday, May 1 in the Columbus Catholic Gym from 8-11 pm. Tickets will be for sale Wednesday, April 7 – Friday, April 23. See Ms. Thompson before or after school. You may pay by cash or check made payable to CCS. Guest permission forms are required of anyone not currently a Columbus student. These must be completed and returned to Mr. Lambrecht by Thursday, April 15. Coronation of both the Junior and Senior courts will begin at 9:30 p.m. This is NOT open to the public. Only student guests and families of court members may attend. Masks are required for everyone in attendance
We will have parent-teacher conferences on April 13th, from 3-6 pm. Below is a link for a Sign-up Genius to allow parents to sign up for a 10-minute conference with any of their child’s teachers. Parents may choose to attend in person or virtually. If you sign up for a virtual conference, that teacher will send you a link for a Zoom Conference. Please sign in to the conference at the time you signed up. You will be placed in the waiting room until the teacher is finished with the previous conference. You may also choose to attend an in-person conference which will be held in the teacher's classroom. Please sign up for conferences by 9:00am on April 12th, so that teachers may send out Zoom links for conferences.

Just a reminder that we now have an online Absence Notification form. The online form should be used for all absences. This online form replaces the phone call and parent notes for all absences. You may also indicate whether or not the students will be able to attend virtually for the day. Future absences should be reported at least one week in advance. Illnesses should be reported by 7:30 am on the day of the illness. The link is HERE. We recommend saving this link on your phone.
