Planning Your Reunion
At Columbus Catholic Schools, we can help!
CLASSMATE INFORMATION
We can provide an Excel Spreadsheet of information about your classmates, including the most recent contact information (address, phone number, email address), spouse information and deceased dates. We get this information a number of different ways: NCOA (National Change of Address) updates to our database quarterly; our 10 year alumni directory; our “update your information” form on our website; and we scan local obituaries on a regular basis. However, our database is almost never complete so we rely on YOU to pass along any updates you come across!
MAILING LABELS
We will provide you with mailing labels using our most up-to-date info. to assist with your mailing.
PROMOTIONS
We can promote your reunion a few different ways. 1.) Our newsletter Charted Course is mailed out three times per year. Each issue, we publish a listing of upcoming reunions. 2.) We will put your reunion on our website. 3.) We will make a posting on the Alumni Facebook page.
TOURS
We can provide a guide who will give your class a tour so you can walk down memory lane! We'll explain what’s happened over the years and present our current needs in case your class would like to get involved in any giving campaigns / initiatives. If desired, we can also put a “welcome” message on our marquee sign (in front of Our Lady of Peace School) for a unique class photo op!
VENUE
If you are not sure of your reunion date or location, we can provide you a classroom during Alpine Holiday at no charge! We only ask that you do not bring your own food and drinks, as these will be on sale during the event. (Note: a lot of reunions also take place during the Columbus Classic Golf Tournament in August!)
mass
Reunions can be recognized during Mass and may also be able to get reserved seating. Contact one of our supporting parishes for details.
ADVICE
We get asked a lot of questions and see how other committees are planning their reunions. We would be very glad to share information with you!
WE ASK FOR YOUR HELP TOO!
In addition to updating any contact information, we would also ask for your help in locating any Veterans who might not yet be listed on our Veteran’s Wall. We update this annually in late October, in time for Veteran’s Day. We also ask you to encourage classmates to sign up for our e-newsletters. Even if we have an email address for an alum, we don’t automatically sign them up for e-newsletters. Finally, please send us photos of your reunion so we can post them on the Facebook page and in the Charted Course Newsletter!
