SAfE ENVIRONMENT AT A GLANCE
- For the safety of our students, ALL staff and volunteers must complete the annual “Safe Environment” program. Volunteers who must complete the training include coaches, classroom volunteers and field trip chaperones. If you think you may be volunteering around students on a regular basis (or more than once), please complete the training now. This is a requirement of – and applications go through - the La Crosse Diocese so do not procrastinate as it could take time to receive results. The program is not meant to be an inconvenience or a hindrance toward volunteering; it is important for the safety of our students. Thank you for your patience! (Note: event volunteers for Alpine Holiday or Galleon do not need to complete Safe Environment.)

SAFE ENVIRONMENT (PROTECT AND HEAL) PROGRAM OF THE DIOCESE OF LA CROSSE - CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The Diocese of La Crosse, including all CCS pastors and staff members, are fully committed to protecting students from child sexual abuse and maintaining a safe Catholic school environment. Therefore, the Diocese of La Crosse has developed a Safe Environment (Protect and Heal) program.
The diocese requires all staff members, volunteers working directly with students, and parents to complete the required online training. This training includes “On Sexual Misconduct for the Diocese of La Crosse” (red book), “Child Sexual Abuse Policy and Procedures of the Diocese of La Crosse” (green book), and the “Protect and Heal” video.
Staff members and volunteers must also provide the required background check information and complete the required forms. The training program is available through the Diocese of La Crosse website at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/safe-environment
