Types of Cancellations

System-Wide Cancellations

All Columbus Catholic Schools (CCS) system-wide cancellations include preschool and extended (after school) programs.

Individual Building Closures

If a specific school building closes due to a utility disruption (such as power or water outage), only the affected building(s) will be listed as closed.

How to Find School Cancellation Notices

Stay informed by checking any of the following sources:

• Text Alerts: Delivered through our FACTS system
• CCS Facebook Page: facebook.com/columbuscatholic
• CCS Website: columbuscatholicschools.org
• Email: Notifications from CCS President, Mr. Eaton, sent shortly after announcements to local media
• Local TV & Radio:
  • WSAW (Channel 7): Listed as Marshfield Catholic Schools — wsaw.com
  • WAOW (Channel 9): Listed as Marshfield Public and Parochial — waow.com

Important Note

If Marshfield Public Schools are closed, this means Columbus Catholic Schools are also closed.

Timing of Announcements

Whenever possible, cancellation announcements will be made the night before the closure. Due to the unpredictability of weather conditions, some decisions may be announced early in the morning.

The latest announcement time is usually 6:15 a.m., ahead of the 6:20 a.m. Marshfield bus routes.
