• PSAT
  • At Columbus we administer the PSAT test in the fall to all of our 11th graders. We also extend the opportunity to any 10th-grade students who wish to take the test (there will be a fee charged to 10th graders). The benefit is to give the students practice for when they take the ACT in the spring of junior year so that they can become more comfortable with the format, learn how to pace themselves in a timed test, and try to improve in areas that may need more attention. Their individual scores will not be shared with any colleges and are for their own self-awareness. Each student receives the PSAT Student Guide so they will know what to expect for the test.  Each student can read through the content more thoroughly on his/her own time as well as take the practice test.

• Work Permits
  • Parents can now apply directly online for a work permit for their child, which is required for anyone under 16 when they are hired for a job. Here is the link to the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) which has instructions on how to apply: https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/laborstandards/workpermit/  You can pay the $10 fee online and then the permit will be mailed directly to their new employer. We will no longer be able to process these in the office for you.
