Stepping Up Day
Stepping Up Day gives students the opportunity to experience what it will be like in the grade they will enter the following school year. This event typically takes place in late winter and helps ease transitions between grade levels and school buildings.

- Who: Students currently in Grades 2 through 5
What Students Experience
- Second grade students at St. John the Baptist Primary School spend the day at Our Lady of Peace Intermediate School, experiencing a day as third graders.
- Third and fourth grade students at Our Lady of Peace Intermediate School spend the day in the next grade level, getting a preview of the year ahead.
- Fifth grade students at Our Lady of Peace Intermediate School visit Columbus Catholic Middle School to experience a day as sixth graders.
Stepping Up Day helps students become familiar with new classrooms, teachers, and routines, creating confidence and comfort as they prepare for the next school year.
