53rd Annual Marshfield Columbus Cross Country Invitational

Important Deadlines

Entry Deadline: Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

All entries must be submitted through Athletic.net.

Meet Schedule

• 7:30–8:45 a.m. Course inspection
• 9:00 a.m. Middle School Race, all runners
• 9:45 a.m. High School Girls Race, all runners
• 10:30 a.m. High School Boys Race, all runners
• Following the races: Awards ceremony, weather permitting
• 12:00 p.m. Jeremy Binder 5K Memorial Run

Please note: Race times are approximate. Teams should be prepared for the schedule to move ahead if weather conditions require it.

Race Distances

• High School Girls and Boys: 5 kilometers
• Middle School Girls and Boys: 2 miles

Team Entry Information

How to Enter Runners on Athletic.net

1. Log in to Athletic.net.
   Log in using your coach or school credentials.
2. Find the meet.
   Search for the Marshfield Columbus Invitational and open the meet details.
3. Open the entry page.
   Select the Entries or Submit Entries option.
4. Select your team and race.
   Choose your school and the appropriate race for each runner.
5. Add runners.
   Enter each athlete's name and grade level accurately.
6. Review your entries.
   Confirm names, races, team limits, and other entry information.
7. Submit your entries.
   Select Submit or Save to finalize your roster.
8. Confirm submission.
   Verify that you receive a confirmation or that your entries appear correctly in Athletic.net.

Entry Fees

• High School: $150 per school
• Middle School: $75 per school

Packet Pickup and Finish Procedures

Coaches should report to the finish-line area upon arrival to pick up team packets.

Runners should continue completely through the finish chute and beyond the second timing mat. Spectators should remain outside areas reserved for meet personnel and timing equipment.

Course Information

The course includes short hills, wooded trails, and brief blacktop sections. Spikes are not recommended because of the blacktop. Runners should also be aware of guide wires around the corners of the large animal pens. The course includes the traditional water obstacle.

Course Map Description

The course begins in the northwest area of Wildwood Park. The map identifies the high school 5K route, middle school route, mile markers, start area, portable toilets, team tent areas, water obstacle, and an alternate route near the water obstacle. Elevation profiles for the 5K course are also shown.

Awards

• Team plaques: Boys and girls, small-school and large-school divisions
• High school individual medals: 1st through 10th place for boys and girls in small-school and large-school divisions
• Middle school individual awards: 1st through 10th place for boys and girls

Parking and Course Location

Wildwood Park can be reached by traveling south from 14th Street onto Balboa Avenue and then east onto 17th Street. The park will be closed to traffic during the meet.
