Students in grades 3-12 will participate in a Eucharist Procession during our first School Mass of the year on Thursday, August 28.
We will process from the Columbus Catholic High/Middle School to the high school gym with the monstrance carrying the Eucharist. Eucharistic Processions are a sacred tradition in which we ask Jesus to make holy our efforts in our life – in this case, education. This procession will set the tone of the school year by placing Jesus at the center. It is a great way to solidify our Catholic Identity.
You are all invited to join us for this opening Mass and Procession.
First Eucharist Preparation
In second grade, students spend the school year preparing for First Holy Communion, with a special focus on understanding the Eucharist and receiving Jesus after making their First Reconciliation. Students typically celebrate their First Holy Communion at their respective parish churches.

Students enrolled in our school do not need to attend the Marshfield Faith Formation program, as all sacramental instruction is provided during the school day. Who We Are
High School Youth Group encourages and equips students in grades 9–12 to become joyful disciples of Jesus Christ. Together, we grow in faith through events, fellowship, prayer, music, service projects, and more. Youth Group is a place to connect with friends who share your faith and will support you on your journey.
Why I’m Involved - David Alcott, Director of Marshfield Faith Formation
Youth opportunities such as Steubenville Conferences made a big difference in my life, and I want to make those same experiences possible for each new generation. With a degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville and over 20 years in youth ministry (including serving with NET Ministries in 2001–2002), I want to give teens opportunities to grow in their love for Christ.
When We Meet
Youth Group gathers two Wednesdays per month during the school year from 7:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Francis Room at St. John the Baptist Primary School.

40 Hours Devotion
Invitation from Father Clements
Dear Columbus System Parents, Grandparents, Students, and Alumni:
We invite you to join us for 40 Hours Devotion at Our Lady of Peace Parish. The 40 Hours will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12th and conclude on Tuesday, October 14th at 8:00 a.m. with a Solemn School Mass. The intentions for this Mass are for Columbus Catholic Schools.
40 Hours Devotion is tied to the 40 Hours in which Jesus was in the tomb. As Jesus said: “My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me” (Matthew 26:38).
We are called to be with Jesus, who is alive and present with us in the Eucharist. He promised that He will be “with us always even until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
When we sit with Jesus and bring our intentions before him, he listens to our prayers.
Our children and grandchildren are in great need in these days of prayer. The battle is being fought “against principalities and powers ”(cf. Ephesians 6:12) and they are relentless. Our society has been overwhelmed by evil. Because of this, our children need all the help that they can get to resist the evil one and choose Jesus.
This year, the 40 Hours Devotion falls on October 12, which is the Feast of the newly Canonized Saint Carlo Acutis. We are fortunate to have a first-class relic of Carlo with us for the entirety of our 40 Hours Devotion. There will also be opportunities to learn more about him during some presentations.
I am asking parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, and students to be prayer warriors by taking an hour to be with Jesus during these 40 hours. I am asking for your generosity. In order to be generous, we have to sacrifice. I am asking for your sacrifice for your children so that they may receive the abundance of graces to become the best people they can be. If you can take an hour in adoration, please sign up here. There are a number of events taking place during this time. You can see a schedule of events in the link below.
May God Bless You!

Chaplain's Fund Travel Raffle
Chaplains Travel Fund Raffle
Thanks to the assistance of the Marshfield Knights of Columbus Council #1799, we established the Chaplain’s Fund in 2023 to support the Chaplains of Columbus Catholic Schools and Faith Formation. This fund helps bring faith-centered opportunities to youth throughout the Marshfield area.
Without this financial support, many of the powerful spiritual experiences we offer would be more difficult to provide.
Spiritual Activities Made Possible by the Chaplain’s Fund:
- Catholic speakers brought to Marshfield
- Catholic faith-based special events
- Adventure Camp
- March for Life
- Mission Trips
- Steubenville Conferences
We are excited to announce a special raffle to support the Chaplain’s Fund:
- Prize: Two tickets for a Pilgrimage to Ireland
- Destinations: Dublin, Galway, and Knock
- Travel Hosts: Fr. Robertson and Fr. Clements
- Dates: April 28 – May 5, 2026
- Tickets: $50 each (only 600 will be sold)
- Proceeds: All go directly to the Chaplain’s Fund
Tickets will go on sale starting October 7 (Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary) and will be available through December 8 (Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception).
Last year, we raised $15,000 after expenses, thanks to your support. This year, we hope to do even better. Every additional dollar helps make these life-changing experiences more affordable for our youth.
If you or your children benefited from the Chaplain’s Fund last year, please consider helping to sell tickets.
Thank you for helping us continue to bring Catholic opportunities to youth in our community.
