Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation is included in the curriculum at Columbus Catholic Schools. Students attending Columbus Catholic Schools do not need to participate in Marshfield Faith Formation. However, there are a few important requirements during 9th and 10th grade.
Students in 9th and 10th grade who are members of Our Lady of Peace (Marshfield), St. John the Baptist (Marshfield), or Sacred Heart (Marshfield) parishes are required to sign up for a parish ministry and be regularly scheduled for service during those two years. Ministry options include:
- Reader
- Usher
- Server
- Choir Member
- Sacristan
There is no minimum number of hours required, but students must actively participate by being scheduled on a regular basis.
Additionally, there is a required Confirmation Retreat held in the summer between 10th and 11th grade. The retreat date for 2026 is to be determined.
Students will select a Confirmation name and sponsor through the Confirmation curriculum at Columbus Catholic High School.
