What Is Spirit of Christmas?

Spirit of Christmas is a long-standing Columbus Catholic Schools tradition that provides confidential Christmas support to families in our school community who are experiencing financial hardship or difficult circumstances.

Each participating family submits three gift ideas per child following the categories: Need, Read, and Wear.

Gifts are then anonymously purchased, wrapped, labeled, and returned by generous members of our CCS community. This ensures complete confidentiality for the receiving families while giving us all an opportunity to share God’s love through giving.

How You Can Help

We invite you to join us in making Christmas brighter for families in need this year. Below are the SignUpGenius links where you can choose specific items to purchase.

Each type of item has its own sign-up tab. Please choose any items you feel called to provide. You may sign up for as many items as you wish. Your name will remain confidential.

Donation Instructions

If you sign up to purchase gifts, please follow the steps below:

  1. Purchase new items only (no used items, please).
  2. Wrap each gift and clearly write the item number on the outside.
  3. Place gift receipts in a separate envelope labeled with the item number.
  4. Do not wrap the receipts inside the gift.
  5. Drop off gifts at Columbus Catholic High School by Friday, December 12.

Early drop-off is always appreciated.

Prefer to Make a Monetary Donation?

You may support the Spirit of Christmas program by dropping off cash or a check at any CCS office in a sealed envelope labeled “Spirit of Christmas”.
