Bruce Mound Middle School Field Trip
On Friday, January 30, the Middle School will take its annual tubing, skiing, and snowboarding trip to Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area in Merrillan.
Permission Forms & Cost
Students must return the required paperwork to attend:
- Diocesan Permission Form
- Bruce Mound Release of Liability Form
- Bruce Mound Rental Equipment Card (if renting equipment)
The primary activity is tubing, which costs $10 per student. Students who wish to ski or snowboard may bring their own equipment or rent from Bruce Mound for an additional $10. Students needing ski or snowboard lessons should indicate this on the diocesan form.
All forms are due to the homeroom teacher by Friday, January 16.
Lunch
Lunch will not be provided. Students may bring a packed lunch or purchase food from Bruce Mound’s Chalet, which offers items such as burgers, chicken strips, french fries, cheese curds, and pizza.
Expectations & Dress Code
- Students must leave all personal devices in their lockers.
- Blankets and pillows are not allowed due to limited bus space.
- Students should dress appropriately for winter weather.
- Dress code for the day is Columbus spirit wear tops and dress-down bottoms.
Chaperones Needed
We are seeking parent chaperones who have completed Safe Environment Training. Chaperones are exempt from the $10 fee; however, bus space is limited. Please contact the school if you are certified and interested in chaperoning.
