Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is a nationwide celebration of Catholic education held each year in late January. Sponsored by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), the week highlights academic excellence, faith formation, and service while celebrating the strong sense of community that makes Catholic schools unique.

Special Dress Days
St. John the Baptist Primary School
- Monday: Dress Like Your Favorite Community Member (doctor, nurse, police, etc.)
- Tuesday: Favorite Book Character (ex. dress in pink like Pinkalicious or wear a shirt with a dinosaur on it for a dinosaur book. Costumes are welcome but not needed.)
- Wednesday: Patriotic Colors (red, white, and blue), Military/Camouflage, or Joe Altmann Apparel
- Thursday: Dress Your Best
- Friday: Columbus Spirit Wear & Jeans
Our Lady of Peace Intermediate School
- Monday: Pajamas
- Tuesday: Dress Like a Teacher
- Wednesday: Lumberjack/Flannel & Jeans
- Thursday: Sunday Best
- Friday: Columbus Spirit Wear & Jeans
Columbus Catholic Middle School
- Monday: Favorite Color
- Tuesday: Quadruplet/Quintuplet (4 or 5 people dress up the same)
- Wednesday: Favorite Movie Character

- St. John the Baptist: 4:30 p.m. (Sat.) & 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. (Sun.)
Monday
- Attire = Dress Like Your Favorite Community Member (doctor, nurse, police, etc.)
- Decorate stickers for coffee sleeves for Coffee Cabin spreading the love of our Catholic Schools
- Worksheets, games, and coloring pages pertaining to the knowledge of the church building and saints
Tuesday
- Attire = Favorite Book Character (ex. dress in pink like Pinkalicious or wear a shirt with a dinosaur on it for a dinosaur book. Costumes are welcome but not needed.)
- Bring in your favorite book from home: other students will be paired with younger students to read books together.
- Minute to Win It games
Wednesday
- Attire = Patriotic Colors (red, white, and blue), Military/Camouflage, or Joe Altmann Apparel
- Students will practice their future right to vote by voting for their favorite Phy-Ed Activity.
- Open House: 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (prospective families)
Thursday
- Attire = Dress Your Best
- All CCS Mass at Our Lady of Peace
- Adopt-a-Grade Activity
- Spiritual Bouquet for Father Thelen with one paper flower and prayer pledge from each homeroom
Friday
- Attire = Columbus Spirit Wear & Jeans
- Basketball team and high school student ambassadors will greet students at the front and back entrances at drop-off.
- “King of Kings” at Rogers Cinema at 11:45 (grades 4K-2)

Columbus Catholic Middle School
Saturday
- Brawn Competition: 8th-grade Boys’ and Girls’ basketball tournaments
- Brains Competition: Trivia competition for students in grades 6–8.
- Location: Aquinas Catholic Middle/High School.
- Mass: Celebrated by Bishop Battersby at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral at 6:00 p.m.
