Direct Admission

Direct Admission is a college admissions process where students are accepted to participating colleges based on their academic records, which the high school submits on the student’s behalf. Students do not need to complete a traditional application.

Columbus Catholic High School is pleased to partner with the University of Wisconsin and Mid-State Technical College through their Direct Admission programs. Please see the links below to learn more.

Direct Admission College Partnerships

University of Wisconsin Direct Admit Program

Columbus Catholic High School participates in the University of Wisconsin Direct Admit Program, which streamlines admissions to most UW campuses. Qualified students can be admitted based on academic records our school submits, with no traditional application required.

Note: UW-Madison, UW-Eau Claire, and UW-La Crosse are not part of the program.

How it Works

Option 1: Opt-In

When you opt in, you authorize Columbus Catholic High School to share your GPA, transcripts, and other required information with the UW Direct Admit team. We submit your records to all participating UW campuses where you meet their admission criteria.

  • Decision window: You will receive admission decisions from August through October of your senior year.
  • Your next step: If admitted, you must confirm your enrollment with the campus you choose. Admission does not equal automatic enrollment.
  • Deadline: You have until May of senior year to accept or decline offers.

Option 2: Opt-Out

If you choose not to participate, we will not share your information. You may still apply to UW campuses using the traditional application.
