PSAT Testing Information for 10th and 11th Graders

At Columbus Catholic Schools, we administer the PSAT test to all 11th-grade students each fall. We also offer the opportunity for 10th-grade students to take the test, although a fee will apply for 10th graders who choose to participate.

The purpose of the PSAT is to provide students with practice for the ACT, which they will take in the spring of their junior year. The test helps students become more familiar with the format, learn how to pace themselves in a timed environment, and identify areas where they may need additional focus.

Important Information:

  • PSAT Scores: Students' individual PSAT scores are not shared with colleges and are meant for their personal self-awareness.
  • PSAT Student Guide: Each student receives a PSAT Student Guide, which provides detailed information about the test and what to expect. Students can also use the guide to review test content on their own time and complete the included practice test.
