Apply Online for Your Child’s Work Permit
Parents can now easily apply for a work permit online for their child (required for all minors under 16 when hired for a job).
To begin the application process, visit the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) page for detailed instructions: Apply for a Work Permit.
The process includes a $10 fee, which can be paid online. Once payment is made, the permit will be mailed directly to your child’s new employer.
Please note, we will no longer be able to process work permits in the office.
